The MOVE Family + Wellness Team

Meet Jenni…

The idea for MOVE Studio was imagined in 1986 in her parent’s basement. She taught classes to the neighborhood kids and they put on performances for the parents... fast forward to 2014 when MOVE Studio was born and the rest is history.

Jenni started dancing at age three and by nine she began intensive training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Followed by Kidco Theater Dance Company, Banff Center for the Arts, and Victoria Arts Collaborative, just to name a few. Jenni continued dancing, performing locally and internationally. Spending two years based out of London, England.

She holds her BA in Dance and Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. RYT 200 from Open Source Yoga. And certification from CPI for Pilates.

After an injury, Jenni turned her focus to Yoga and Pilates as a means of rehabilitation. This is when she started teaching full time. Returning to the west coast in 2003, she has been teaching at The Shadbolt Center for the Arts, Yyoga and various other studios. In 2006 MOVE on the move began as corporate offerings to the Vancouver and Burnaby communities and in 2014 MOVE STUDIO New West was established. Jenni and MOVE have since received numerous awards and Jenni is a proud ambassador for Lululemon Metrotown. MOst recently Jenni has taught MOVEment at the LILA sessions, CAMP YOGA and created a local series at NEW WEST ART GALLERY, to name a few. She has been on staff with the theater department at DOUGLAS COLLEGE and is currently a instructor at WEST COAST COLLEGE OF MASSAGE THERAPY.

Jenni is super excited to bring her love of movement and anatomy, über high energy and larger than life personality to every class at MOVE. This is her lifelong dream come true. Thank you for being part of it!

ALICE PARK

Yoga entered Alice’s life through her meditation practice when she learned that yoga embodies the mindful and intentional spirit of meditation into movements through the physical body. Throughout her adult life, yoga and meditation kept finding their way back to her during trying and challenging times to help her grow exponentially and deepen her sense of freedom, peace and sovereignty.

Once she experienced the power of yoga and meditation to breathe and move through all the ebbs and flows of life with equanimity, and while witnessing the limitations of her professional work as a clinician of holistic nutrition and functional medicine alone, Alice knew she wanted to incorporate yoga and meditation into her service offerings. Alice teaches hatha yoga and meditation to hold space for people’s sadhana, their spiritual practice. She encourages a mindful and intentional practice as she combines alignment, intelligent adjustments and freedom of breath to guide through each pose, opening their sadhana to reach new heights.

Furthermore, through her journey in motherhood, Alice’s interest in alternative education systems and early childhood development expanded into the knowledge field of yoga. She completed trauma-sensitive children’s yoga teacher training (RCYT) and prenatal & postnatal yoga teacher training. Alice loves teaching families with babies, toddlers and young children about all the wonderful tools and wisdom from yoga.

More information about Alice such as her upcoming classes can be found on her website: www.nourishonearth.com and on her Instagram: www.instagram.com/nourish.on.earth.
